Film 4 Frightfest is a horror and fantasy festival but its many horror films shown. its held every August at the empire cinema at Leicester square, London and the cinema is rated one of the best in the world( its in the top 10 cinemas of the world). The dates for this year are the 21st- 25th of August.
Their are also two other events that happen each year. they have a Halloween screening day and the Frightfest in Glasgow, however the main event is the one in London.
They accept online screeners, Blu-ray and DVDs discs. Blu-rays need to be region 2, but DVDs can be any region. They don't give back the screeners.
The submission process is open all year round. The closing date for submissions for FrightFest is 1st June 2014. The 2014 Halloween screening day is 1st September 2014 and FrightFest Glasgow 2015 is 21st November 2014.
There is no entry fee.
This is a good film festival due to the fake that its free to enter. Most film festivals have a charging fee. Though its not the biggest film festival in the world and its unlikely to get you famous its still a good starting point for horror film makers due to the fact its free and its the biggest horror festival in the U.K.
