Idents I like

E4 Ident

The design of this ident is 3 beach huts that open up and have random stuff coming from them like tentacles. The show logo comes out of the middle hut. The purpose of this is because it draws more attention to the middle in which its logo is at making the viewer know what its viewing. The intent of this ident is so the views can tell this channel is a comic channel or a comedy shown is up next.  This ident used the position motion graphics. This is told by the fact that the camera moves left to right but always  keeping the middle hut in centre shot.

Channel 4 ident

The design of this ident is the building make out the logo of the channel as the camera moves the logo get more reviled to the audience. you can see the 4 on the right  but its not fully made yet. The purpose of this ident is to make the audience wait and see what the ident makes. The intent of this ident is so the audience wait and guess what going to happen next. The motion graphics used in this ident is an alpha channel which is an black back ground with is transplant and its only black so you can see it when editing. They used this to map and add the shapes and background that they wanted on top of the alpha channel.  Rotation was also used for this ident as the camera rotates around the object(buildings).

Sky 1 Arrow ident

This ident design is the show Arrow in which he shoots an arrow at the the logo and it shatters. The purpose of this ident is so the ident is avitising the show Arrow for the channel as well as showing the logo of the channel. The intent is to show the what type is next and saying if you like this show you will like this show as their similar.This ident uses the XYZ axis as the camera routes around the person this mean the shape is 3D as the X axis goes though the X and Y. The ident also has rotation in it as it rotates round the object(person).




What i took form this ident is that I'm going to have my ident shown in the middle and draw attention to it as the strengths the logo and ident. I'm also going to have a camera move in my ident as all three of thiese indents do the something however ident 1 and 3 are used are certain types of shows when 2 and be used all the time so I'm going to use that idea from 2 so my can be shown on everything i make and i don't have to worry about that show or film genre it is.










These idents are the old ones for sky 1 and channel 4. E4 however don't have an older one.

The old sky ident design is simple just just Sky 1 in a blue and white background. The purpose for this is the whit represents the clouds in the sky and blue is the sky on a nice day. The intent for this ident is so the ident gets a round and so the channel is known.

The Channel 4 ident design is 5 differnt colours that form up the 4 for the channel. The purpose off this is to make the colour full and draws attention to it with the help of the black background. The intent of this so channel 4 can get its name around


other motion graphics that can be used but was not used in these idents was opacity which is how transparent an object or image is. It is used to fade out or in an image or object or have another image or object showing behind it and you want to show but object or images.
